  • Who can attend a meeting?

    Anyone 18 years of age or older who has lost a loved one to suicide and is looking for support may attend.

  • What is the format?

    Each meeting begins with a brief opening following by a “Go Around” where participants are invited to introduce their loved ones. This is followed by a discussion time, and the meeting ends with a brief closing.

  • What if I cry?

    Your tears are welcome here and will be met with compassion and understanding. We always have tissues on hand.

  • Do I have to share?

    You are welcome to be an active listener and not say anything. No one will probe for information. Eventually, for your own benefit and the benefit of others you will desire to participate on a fuller level.

  • Why should I attend?

    Suicide Loss Support Groups are helpful to people who desire to show their emotions and feelings as well as connect with others experiencing the same type of loss.

  • What will we talk about?

    This group will discuss whatever is important to the group. Common themes often include anger, guilt, seeking answers, current difficulties, fear, and more.
